Harriet starting working as a slave when she was six years old. She worked in her owner’s house. She was cleaning the house and looking for a little child. Her owner was always mean to her, and always hit her and screamed at her. When Harriet was seven years old, she tried to run away. But Harriet came back because she was hungry and tired and had no food to eat. When Harriet was 13 she was given her adult name which we all call her by, Harriet. One day in the year of 1833, became a horrible day for Harriet. It was a normal day as always, when she saw a slave going to a shop. Harriet decided to follow him. Harriet’s owner told her to help him to catch the slave, but Harriet refused, and was hit with a rock. The rock hit her forehead, and since then she had problems with her head and was imagining. In 1884, Harriet married John Tubman. In 1849, Harriet finally was safe. On Christmas Eve in 1850, Harriet returned to Maryland, to help her siblings escape. In 1857 she finally helped her parents escape. Harriet helped at the civil war, and also she helped 300 slaves, from what she was named a hero. Their lots of books and articles about her. On 1908 Harriet opened a home in NY for old African American. In 1913 the great hero Harriet have died, but she did not died in the peoples heart, and will never be forgotten.

Harriet starting working as a slave when she was six years old. She worked in her owner’s house. She was cleaning the house and looking for a little child.
